About Us
|
Authors In April Inc. is a community weeklong event. Each day, authors visit schools, giving presentations to students and signing books. Each elementary school author visits three different elementary schools every day, and spends about 1½ hours at each school. The middle school author visits one school each day, giving three presentations (one each to 6th, 7th, & 8th graders) at that school. In all the authors speak to well over 10,000 students during their stay. In addition to school visits, authors attend a benefit dinner. This is an opportunity for adults to meet the authors, have books autographed, enjoy dinner, and listen to a lively presentation by the authors. The Rochester Hills Public Library also hosts an autograph party where the public is invited to meet the authors and have books autographed. |
